Up early in the morning just to taste a beer,
The Alcholic arises with no other cares,
Numb from the drink their minds go astray,
They live for the drink and forget every day,
Just a couple of Beers thats what was said,
Then off to the bar for a beer with a head,
A frosty mug in a chilled glass served over and over again,
Job lost from the drink and so were most of his friends,
A magnetic pull a force that you cant see,
A family waiting at home pacing the floors until 3,
Torn is the lives of the loved ones he loves,
But love is not enough cause it doesnt fill his frosty mug,
It started all with just a couple of beers and ended with many
sad little tears,
For this night he drank and drove down a one way street,
The wrong way running over more then just four walking feet,
A Mother and Dad out on a long awaited date,
with 6 children waiting at home learning that 3 oclock their parents met their fate,
So before you drink and drive think about all that you cherish,
Before you kill yourself or cause others to perish...
