With all my attempts that met with failure your still by my side,
You look at me with eyes that see a strong man filled with pride,
Yet I am weak, without you I would easily turn to dust and blow away,
You keep our conversations going when I have no words to say,
I look to you for understanding and unconditional love,

Im showered by your smile each an everyday,
You have had plenty of reasons to leave but yet you choose to stay,
Ive thought of what life would be like without you,
To wake each day without your warmth would leave me feeling blue,
No crazy conversations about stuff that has no meanings,
No emotions shared or exchange of ones true feelings,
But here we are on the couch with you in my arms,
Your last day to live and Im keeping you held and warm,
A battle well fought but still the end draws near,
You refuse the morphine as the pain seems to tare,
I can see it in your face and I can see it in your eyes,
From the tears rolling down your cheeks we say our last goodbye,
I love you forever and forever Ill be here,
She places her hand over my heart and then slowly disappears,
I kiss her on her Lips and watch her eyes start to close,
I love you baby, and her last were are softly spoken,

Tears fall from my eyes and down to hers,
My last true love and someone I didnt deserve,
Im left with many questions and left to wonder why,
Why it wasnt me, it should have been me who had died,
An angel on earth finally called to her home,
Months after her death I turn to dust after being a stone,
I just couldnt live without her so now Im finally going home,
To my baby in heaven so we will never be alone.
