"Years ago with full life and energy in hand, I could've been great but here I stand,
With so much in front of me and adventures to travel, I look back with eyes of dissappointment as I see how it unraveled,
Everything was perfect back then yet I couldn't see, I treated the people I loved most so poorly,
Through this poem I make a wish, I wish that I could once go back, and change my destiny by the way I act,
If I could I would tell her Im sorry for not showing her the deserved love, not being her best friend and holding her above,
Above the work and the job which I thought were the treasures only to find I lost all of lifes pleasures,
When I said that I didnt want children I lied, and when you walked out that door you shouldve seen me as I cried,
My life was changed from then on, I lost the sunshine and the moon was gone,
Till this day and every day to come, I ruined my future and my heart is still numb,
Have you ever thought how it couldve been, I often do as were walking and holding hands, but only in my dreams does it ever come true, I couldve been great had I stayed next to you."
