Everything seems fine in your city life,
Worked hard all day and came home to your kids and wife,
Watched tv to relax and finally wind down,
Meanwhile something was lurking underground,
From under the cover Darkness set in,
Soon to be discovered,
Visiting those who hath sinned,
In the pipes of the city an evil was set free,
Through the sewers it roamed looking to feed,
You in your recliner thrust back and asleep,
Your family long gone to bed , not one single peep,
The clock on the wall chimed and echoed down the halls,
While shadows danced with an evil reflection outside of your walls,
The scratching and scraping trying to get in,
the thirst for your blood and the need to tare through your skin,
But by your side the good book kept you protected,
Evil moved on as God had rejected,
For those who believe are protected day and night,
and those who refuse the word,
Perish before light...
