From the Border Crossing sprung a fear,
Signs only in spanish, "Mexico I'm Here"!
I lit me a cig as I tried to read each sign,
The guards waived me by as I faced "Anxiety Time",
Over the border and into a new land,
Old broken down buildings surrounded by sand,
I scanned left and then I scanned right,
Graffitti painted walls were all that was in site,
For my days would be long and the fear I still hold,
Each moment of confusion causes tensions to unfold,
Afraid to drive or even walk the street,
My hotel has become my sanctuary and prison for the week,
For some reason I thought English would be understood,
Instead I travel through this mexican Hood,
I stopped to eat some Fish Tacos from a roadside stand,
Surprised was I when he made them with unprotected hands,
Even so , I was hungry as my stomach called to eat,
So I ate those damn tacos as soon as I sat down in my seat,
The sauce was hot so I got up and grabbed a cold coke,
Popped the top off the bottle then gave my throat a cold soak,
Ahhhhhhhh, that hit the spot and satisfied my need,
For the first time I found compfort by means of a taco, a coke, and a cool shaded breeze,
I looked around at the busy world going bye,
Then I listened to all of the noises of the city, me, I was more like a fly,
People walked passed like I didnt exhist,
and all I could think of was the things that I've misssed,
My life in the Country, "Good US of A",
Cant wait to get back,....."What more can I Say"
