He stands tall and proud,
A cock, the main bird with no competition around,
A protector of his family and a protector of his flock,
He struts the ground where no other cock can walk,
His head held high and his colors worn with pride,
Feathers stretched out and wings held out wide,
Like an eagle he catches the eye from all around,
Though he cant fly he owns the ground,
Eyes wide open he watches for strangers,
Claws ready for fighting and protecting thoughs he loves from danger,
He rules the roost a king in his own land,
He will fight to the end until he cant stand,
I look to the rooster and I praise his ways,
Strong and dependable, and a protector every day.
