Candy Hearts and Mistletoe : Valentines Day Poetry

written by Poet : Jeff Pelsang

From day to day and night to night,

From the Autumn moon to the summers light,

Candy Hearts to Mistletoe,

All year long I love you so,

But now the day has come around,

Where hearts which were lost are somehow found,

Candy, flowers, jewelery and gifts,

A Spending spree thats gone a drift,

You and I sit hand in hand to watch this circus parade,

As most celebrate love just once a year then somehow let it fade,

I look to you and you to me every single day of our short life,

Saying I love you, Thanking the Lord,

and being Grateful your my wife!

We all have a way of celebrating with holidays instead of making everyday we have special. Most tend to forget the miracles of life, the miracles of love, the miracles of birth, and our God above. The message of this poem is for you to cherish what you have every day and not just holidays. Refocus your priorities and consider this:

If you won a million dollars would you jump up and scream with excitement?

What is more valuable, a million dollars or another day of life?  (Ill bet you don't jump up every morning you wake to celebrate life)
