A parents heart grows with worry from a call,
A child, Their child has just taken a fall,
A broken arm and in constant pain,
My little baby needing me but I am away again,
2 Hours away with a ton of emotional bricks on my chest,
Business meeting cut short for a daddy to go comfort and protect,
My little princess needing more then just a bandaid,
Driving over the speed limit with worries now dad is crying again,
The one place I thought she would be safe and secure,
In school now in pain my emotions are a blurr,
Many thoughts of her flow in my mind,
my smiling baby I imagine her crying,
I look at my watch and grow angry with the time,
I need to be near her holding her hand,
Shes at the hospital being treated by some white covered man,
He's giving her needles to ease her pain but Im not there,
I imagine what shes thinking and picture her being scarred,
The strange machines that take pictures of her bones,
Her eyes looking cautiously around the room and feeling alone,
Seeing her own arm bent in a way it shouldnt bend,
Wishing the pain would soon come to an end,
Then she looks up to see her dad walk in,
Eyes meet and her face breaks into a grin,
While daddy lets tears roll down his cheek for the prediction she's in,
Seeing her s shaped arm and reading the hut in her eyes,
Hugging my baby tightly as I break down and cry...
