A world once filled with love and joy lays trampled by the greed of a free market society,
Darkness in the form of shadows are free from the alley ways as criminals fear only each other,
Once a Moral man walked with other Moral men now a moral man walks alone,
Surrounded by demons of blackened hearts that burn fiercly like fire but to the touch feels cold,
Wisdom travels down a narrow walk trying not to trip,
but the takers and thieves wait at the paths edge with claws ready to rip,
Evil has risen and the angels have fallen like ripe fruit from a tree,
One by one the angels are torn limb from limb as I watch a serpent chew on a wing,
Has God given up and left us to be doomed?
Streets haunted by the cursed leave the blessed with little room,
Head down and covered I hide my halo well,
For if I was discovered evil would empty me and leave only an empty shell,
Hope has diminished as it has rotted with the times,
Faith is just a trickle and most have lost their minds,
I will continue and pray each and every night,
Dear Lord Jesus please guide us into your light......
