Behind the blinds 7 (Spirits Alive)
Carry staired at the mirror, "Who are you she asked"? She waited for some kind of answer but she wasnt sure what to expect. The room grew cold and the air grew thick with the chill in the air. Jobe watched the mirrors edge as ice started forming until it covered the surface completely.
Then a flow of what looked like flies filled the room comming from every direction. Carry and Jobe stood petrified as a form was taking the shape of what looked like a young girl. Carry felt the presence of a spirit, but this was not of the evil she felt earlier, this was of some lost soul or someone from beyond needing help.
Carry relaxed as her feelings of fear turned into feelings of curiousity and feelings of compassion. She could sense a feeling of being lost and lonely from the spirit and she could also sense a fear from this ghostly soul.
Jobe still frozen in his tracks watched as Carry held her hands out to what looked to be a young girl. Carry walked towards the girl, "I want to help but what can I do"? Then the spirit took hold of Carry's hands and the moment she did her mind started filling up with visions.
She saw several young men comming towards her and even though it was in her mind it felt real. She felt the fear, she felt betrayed, as she looked around she noticed she was encircled by people she could only recognize once as family and friends.
She was at a gathering in the woods with her hands bound and her naked body in the open for every one to look at. She turned her head to the left and to the right as she saw and heard people chanting wearing what looked to be potato sacks woven into long brown robes.
The hoods covered most of the on lookers eyes but she noticed one person from the group and it horrified her. Her own mother Jean was standing there also wearing a robe and chanting and her mother looked as if she were about 18 or 19 years old. It was easy to see it was her mother by the birthmark to the left of her chin.
A bonfire burned bright lighting up the surrounding trees as cascading shadows danced to the chants of the group. Carry recognized the statue as its eyes glowed red and became brighter and brighter as the chants continued.
The leader of the group was a tall man who held an open book in his hands as he read aloud. The group waited for him to finish each chant and then they would repeat the chant as one loud voice.
The tall man continued,"We are here to rid these Gypsies from our land, From our town, and from our streets". The group followed suit and repeated what was said. "Tonight we make a sacrifice and under the cover of our robes and hidden from God's eyes we will finally rid the Gypsies from paradise forever", then the leader shut his book slamming it shut as the sound of it closing echoed through the forest.
"I call on Satan to help us deliver this child of darkness to where she belongs", then he paused for a moment. "Baptize the girl"!
As soon as he had finished he walked towards the statue and tilted it back far enough so he could reach in and retrieve something out of the box underneath it. It was a necklace with a jagged ruby looking stone hanging from it. The leader held the necklace high for all to see as he walked over towards Carry.
"With the Blood Stone we call on Satan to take his prize", then he bent down and put the nacklace over Carry's head and Carry started to scream. "Ahhhh Ahhhh, mother no, no", she looked towards her mother Jean but then realized that her mother was just a teenager and would not help her.
A pig squealed as one of the cult like members cut its throat. Carry watched its headless body being dragged over towards hers. Then two members lifted it by its hind legs and held it over Carry as the blood drained itself covering her from head to toe. She could feel the warmth of the blood and though she was going into shock from fear she could see everything they were doing.
Four young men moved towards her and dropped their robes but their faces were out of focus do to the blood which had gotten into her eyes. She could only see the out of focus faces of young eager men willing to participate.
They each put their hands on the pigs dead body and rubbed its blood all over their faces and chest. Two of the young man went on either side of Carry one hand holding her leg open and outward and the other holding Carry's hands over her head. Then the other two young men moved in and raped her over and over again and when they were done they switched places until all of the young men had left their seed in her.
The group chanted and chanted and danced around the fire as Carry's Glazed eyes watched as her body remained still lifeless from her ongoing shock.
From out of the fire the darkness rose black and thick like what she had just seen the other day. Satans eyes peered through the cloud and focussed on Carry as it surrounded and engulfed her body. She felt her soul being torn from her body and as soon as she did she woke from her trance just in time to see the girl who was once in front of her disperse back into an abundance of flies and then disappear.
"Are you ok Carry", Jobe asked with a worried tone? Carry turned to Jobe, "We have got to help her and I need to talk to my mom as soon as possible". "Something bad happened along time ago to this girl and she is trapped between heaven and hell"! "She is so afraid and I can feel the evil that has got a hold on her"!
"What happened to you when she touched you," Jobe asked? I'll tell you about that later, right now we have to find a safe spot and read the book. I have a feeling that the book will give us all the answers we need to help this girl and hopefully stop the Evil from comming back. Carry then grabbed the book and headed out of the bathroom. She almost tripped as she was running down the stairs and Jobe followed close behind.
"Andrew, Andrew", where are you? Carry yelled out again and again till Andrew came out from underneath the coffee table. Is it over? Is that thing gone? Andrew asked but Carry didnt answer she just grabbed his hand and started pulling him as she headed for the door. Jobe grabbed Andrew and flung him on his back carrying him piggy back style as they ran off the porch and towards the corn field.
The darkness followed and grew with every step they took it seemed if the darkness was taking two steps and catching up. They speeded across the yard and Andrew held onto Jobes neck with a tight grip almost choking him. They all feared for their lives and Carry knew there was something about the corn field that kept the evil out.
Before the cornfield a fire popped out of nowhere and seemed to surround the field with such an intensity. Carry's eyes told her to stop but a voice within told her to keep going. Jobe had no time to question her decision as the coldness and fear was catching up and alomst consuming Jobe and Andrew.
Andrew sceamed as he felt the Ice Like touch on his back and Jobe found the energy to run even faster almost passing Carry as they entered into the fire border that was suppose to keep them from entering the cornfield.
"It wasnt even hot, it was just an illusion", Carry thought to herself as she, Jobe and Andrew continued on until they finally broke into the edge of the cornfield. She kept running and only slowed when they were almost dead center in the middle of the field. The Corn stalks swayed as the wind gusts picked up but only at the edges of the field. The middle of the field remained calm and tranquil while evil played Havoc on the borders edge.
Andrew jumped off and down from Jobes back as Jobe was bending over trying to catch his breathe. Carry sat down also breathing hard but ready to dicipher the book. She plopped the book down in her lap and opened it up to the first page where the blood writing almost appeared to be wet.
"Why is the evil not allowed to enter into this cornfield"", asked Jobe? Im not sure, Im hoping this book will give me some answers. Carry then flipped over another page and then another one until she got about 8 pages into it and then she just stopped.
"Oh my God", Carry said as her eyes focussed in on the writing. "What", Jobe asked as he waited for an answer? "This is where the original Church of Christ was built", Carry then continued on. We are on Holy ground and the evil is not welcome.
It says here that the church was originally built by the Gypsies who originally founded the town and it was burnt down to free the towns people from the Gypsies evil ways. "Go on", Jobe sounded with intense interest. "It also states that the Gypsies often performed tricks and magic and had the power to walk across tight ropes that must have been given to them by Satan himself"...Then there was a pause...."Jobe then stated,"You mean they were circus people"?
"Oh my god", they were driven out because they were Circus people. Carry kept reading on and as she did she cried with tears just pouring down her cheeks. The people who were just immigrants and performers were looked at as demons with not telling what crimes and treachery was committed to them just for being talented.
She flipped through a couple of more pages and as she read she realized this was the same chant she had seen in the vision. What was running through her mind was how could a town of God, Family and friends do something so horrific and then themselves conjure up Satan.
It doesnt make sense Carry, I mean if they were Christians, if our town was based on the holy book then how could they even conjure Satan. Carry thought for a second and then just like a light had turned on in her mind she had figured it out.
Jobe dont you get it? This town is based not on Christianity but was born out of a cult and a bunch of Satan worshippers. Atleast it use to be that way and then somehow they must have changed. Something must have made them afraid to worship Satan...."Fear", Jobe sounded loudly! My grandfather must have took his life out of fear and those who are left are probably trying to get in God's graces.
