Advice from an Angel : Adult Poetry

written by Poet : Jeff Pelsang

"Woke up this morning and looked in the mirror and saw a man with no smile, I tried to recreate some happiness in my mind but that was tossed in the trash, my personal file,

Today I thought would be different in a very special way, whispers from god I think telling me to pray,

So I did, I took the time to ask for some help and guidance from up above, Dear Lord I am lonely, I need friends, I need someone to hold and to love,

With my prayers complete and my love for the lord to be great, I instilled in myself some positive vibes walked out the door and waited for my fate,

All day long I waited for a miracle, or to be shown the way, There was nothing, not a thing, I didnt understand, I know he heard me pray,

Before the nights end I went to the cafe for a coffee, something to do, I dislike being lonely, I'm not the only one I know this to be true,

When I sat down and looked around I saw angels hovering above me, I said whats going on here,am I dead, I wanted to flee,

The Angel spoke, so soft her voice sounded, but into my soul her words had pounded,

You are a good man and we cry when we see you sad, We've watched you grow into a unelfish man, just like your Dad,

We will be your friends and God has plans for you, Dont worry, you'll meet the one thats true, and until then look to your heart and you will find yourself a friend, So dont you feel so Blue."
