As I lay down to try to sleep,
I can't help but think of you.
All the fun that we had and
all the things that we did.
Walking and holding hands,
falling in love and talking about
our future that we should have.
You called me your Special
Angel and said that no one could
ever be in your heart, such as I.
For not only do you love me,
but that we are Special Friends.
No one knew how much we cared.
You said you had to leave to go
off to war and that I would be
older and forget all about you.
You did not write to me at all.
I had to asked your family and
friends, if you were dead or alive.
I grew older and married with
a baby on the way but still
loved you just the same.
After two years, you came home
for two weeks, and said to me,
We are Special Friends deep in
our hearts and you need to have
your growing years, if we are
meant to be together, it shall be.
A year and half went by, and
you came home from Travels and I
am free to see you once again but
you said to me,we are Special
Friends, always remember that
but our love is not meant to be
and you kissed me goodbye.
A year went by and I am married
with child again but still have you in
my heart and loved you just the same.
They told me that you were dead
for a week when you were found.
I can not believe you are gone
and I will never see you again.
My dear friend, you left me to
grow, to love and to never forget,
that I had in my heart, the love of
My Special Friend, who taught me
that I can forgive and to learn to let
you go, so I now say to you,
Rest in Peace,My Special Friend.
