We are off to grandmothers house ,
for our big family Thanksgiving Dinner.
Pies, cakes and cookies sitting on a
table, looking all so sweet and fattening.
Turkey, dressing and that good gravy to.
Families laughing, watching Football and
catching up on all the family news.
Saying Grace and being Thankful for
our health and families and the good food.
Grandmother is smiling and being Thankful ,
for she has her family here again.
Even though they all will go home soon,
with their tummys full, with a big take home plate.
For she feels pride that her family is happy and full,
with a lot of love to give.
And that she had them for another year.
