Surrounded by the dampened grass
Covered in a fuzzy moss
Down in the forest it lays
Trapped like a rat in a cage
Under the bridge of unknowing
Sun shines down through the canopy
Birds singing in the trees
Small creatures scampering along
Butterflies flutter across the sky
Frogs croaking in the pond afar
A path that leads to the bridge
Winding in and out of the forest
What is it under that bridge
Is it an earthly creature
Or is it from another world
We may never know
Beauty lies in the unknown
