I lie awake in this prison cell
tried and tarnished with their lies
for i’m now here for another’s wrong
and I am deemed to die
the cause it has consumed me
I swore to keep it true

by those that are left behind

I have no regrets for my sins
I still stand proud and true
along with absent brothers
we did all of this for you
so kinfolk please don’t forget us
when these troubles are no more
for all absent sons and daughters
