Again I laugh : Creative Writing

written by Poet : Robert1

He put a gun to my head. I'll kill you. Is it that I should fear? I laugh, grabbing the gun holding it close to my temple. As if to beg for him to shoot. Kill me. Shoot me. What are you going to do? I don't fear death. I welcome it. For in death I shall truly be free. And you, What of you? Will you find peace in your deed? Will my blood make you whole? My spirit yearns for release. What have I to fear? For in my death a new life. Free from the bonds of pain. Again I laugh.

He looked at me. confused at such actions. Are you mad he ask? Again I laugh. I am no more than a man. But in death I see life. A new life free of pain and tears. And you in my death a cage. Yet you are in a cage of hate and fear. Lost in the confusion of a life on borrowed time. For you see no more than that which was born to die. A life lost and to it's own. Fearing that which comes to us all. Yet I in my belief will be reborn in a new form void of any pain. And again I laugh.
