Painful Struggle
The pain I have is getting stronger
I cannot hold on any longer
My mind is getting very tired
I feel my time will soon expire
I see your face with a smile
I have not seen this in a while
You knew my pain and how I hurt
You said I was your love, the first
I’m looking back and see our past
And how our time had slipped so fast
What’s to do or what’s to say
To make this pain go away?
I see your smiles you’re laughing too
How can this be if love was true?
I’m home alone and where are you?
Nowhere to go, nothing to do
Am I alone with all this pain?
Why did our love not sustain
My mind it struggles day and night
I’m hoping soon to be alright
I see your face with it’s cold stare
I want to run but run to where?
Now I think of what I see
I did not give you all your needs
I thought in pain I was alone
While in your pain I should have known
I pray to God that He in truth
Will guide my heart as what to do
I say all this ‘cause…I love you!
