Reoccurring Tune1 : African American Poetry

written by Poet : RedMarquee

Few have it like she does
It's seems she's been a constant
chord since the day she was born
infrequently evokes boredom
Relieve your mind to halt
a torrid force of sorts
With no shame in her game
Born before this life
Back then she was a god's wife
He wore a crown and possessed a staff
But don't laugh because he's having some
down time
He sublimely flexes his negative muscles
His authoritative extremities
can't be denied or directly gazed upon with the
naked eye and in truth she is the ends
and the prize
From him she was rooted
What else was a girl to prove?
But to become a whistle
between somebody's grateful lips
A man's musical agony
The ladies cool skip up to Lou
Somebody else's tune
Tip's her hat, asks what's new
Knows she'll be here for a minute
Making some changes in this camp
Meant to enchant and love you
then penetrate and leave you
You'll never be the same as the
last place you came
Unless you speak wisely of her
valor and claim her
thrice otherwise, say goodbye
that it was nice while it was nigh
Moved on to be treble to the
reed of another's for a while
Therefore, savor the reoccurring tune
