Elusivity (Oh) : Love Poetry

written by Poet : RedMarquee

Mostly exposed is largely

expressive doe-esque louver

Everything else elusive

I recognize you the answer to my woes

What I'm vigilantly steadfast for

Don't look so surprised

Oh didn't you know?

Didn't you know you move me?

to the point of ritualistic painting my nails by rows

My perfume holds notes of white rain

proud, strong and long around you

I must coax it back into crepe-lined blouse

And a knee length linen skirt

Oh and didn't you know with you?

There's a spot where I sit with reluctant elegance

Save the chair across from me

for someone similar to you

I'm spoon fed the most delectable cuisine

under the umbrella of a cozy bistro

I entertain myself though there's no

schedule that you should arrive

Oh and didn't you know?

With out your consent I am attentive

I inspect

I follow the longevity

of your shoulders, the nape of your neck

Doing so with intense brevity

Incase you turn and discover, sending

me abruptly into the fetal position

I can barely exhale with

breast that cannot achieve buoyancy

they aspire to hold

But oh couldn't you tell?

Couldn't you?

Didn't you know?
