The Powerful and Big players in the U.S. Government ; just don't get it.
I see the economy as a large castle.
The walls, floors and ceilings are lined of Ivory & Marble. Beautiful chandeliers and furniture grace the massive rooms. On the walls hang exquisite paintings. The Furniture is elegant. Rugs ankle deep. Crystal, Silver and the finest China adorn the tables. The bathrooms are as large as most apartments the basement dwellers live in and the fixtures that flush the toilet cost as much if not more than most of their homes ( the ones that are fortunate not too be in foreclosure ).
These Powerful money worshippers eat the best foods and wear only highest quality clothes.
They sleep in satin and silk sheets and dream of how they can squeeze more out of the basement dwellers ..... " from here on they will be called the people "
These castle dwelling money chasing sneaky self centered Bankers, Credit Card Executives, Investment Managers woke up to a disaster " The Castle Was Collapsing " The Roof, Floors, and Walls were Tumbling Down by the rot caused by their greed, lies, deceit, unconscionable acts they bestowed on the cellar people.
They were frightened & horrified so they hid their money and fudged their books. These green money colored serpents slithered hissing and begging for help to their Government. The Government said to them, " don't be afraid for we will help you and keep you safe within your Ivory Castle ( don't forget these law makers had investments in these Ivory Towers and they want too crap in lavish style too ). Hurriedly the Government gave them billions of dollars, to replenish their coffers and bail them out.
These money eating fools put wall paper over the cracks. They taped the holes in the roof. They nailed cardboard on the cracks. They built bigger safes to keep their new money in. They devised new ways to suck more money out of the people. They would not lend money, raised rates, interest, and fees on credit cards. They foreclosed on peoples homes instead of refinancing them.
Down in the basement the foundation was cracking and crumbling, the beams were caving in & the sewers leaking the people were knee deep in waste and they kept flushing.
To help the people the Government gave them a couple dollars a week extra in their pay check ( they must pay tax on ). Then these Charlatan Politicians placed the basement dwellers
