The eyes have it so I'm told

Looking to make that one great bid

For love comes only to the bold

Eyes never lie, but mine did.

Looking into your eyes I'll see

the unfolding story that may be hid

Like happiness waiting to be set free

My broken heart is ever mindful

Of the aching and longing it did

For your heart of love is so full

A heart doesn't lie, but mine did.

Sounds of loves story left untold

A confusing din that keeps hid

The truth that will release my soul

Ears don't lie, but mine did.

An open mind will surely see

The love that may remain hid

Within the enchanting mind of thee

A mind just doesn't lie, but mine did.

The eyes have it so the story goes

In the eyes is the true story

For if you stay on your toes

You trade heartache for a little glory. . . . .
