Strollin along that railroad track
Strollin along the crossties and rails
Listening for that ole clickety clack
Contemplating life and its travails
As I go strollin along.
As the sun starts to lose it's glow
The train come down that lonely track
I hear it's lonesome whistle blow
Will it's tune ever bring me back
As I go strollin along.
Strollin along that sandy stretch of beach
Of sand and shells the waves gently caress
The whole world seems to be within reach
As I go strollin along.
Strollin along this lonely barren land
Thinking of life and it's right of passage
Forget personal glory and the glory of man
And just keep strollin along.
Strollin along that long highway
Marveling at the billboard and the sign
Strollin along that street and byway
Looking for a love I can call mine
As I go Strollin Along.
Facing the sun walking down a centerline
Strollin along that never ending freeway
Listening to the wheels spin and whine
Bringing memories of a love and play
As I go strolling along.
Strollin along that sandy stretch of beach
Of sand and shells the waves gently caress
The whole world seems to be within reach
As I go strollin along
Strollin along this lonely barren land
Thinking of life and it's right of passage
Forget personal glory and the glory of man
And just keep strollin along. . . . .
