She was a real live beauty queen

She arrived and caused quite a scene

Gave them a look they'd never seen

Filled them with thoughts they'd never dreamed.

He walked through that swinging door

She smiled at him from the dance floor

Made his broken heart start to glow

Was it real or was it just for show.

Was it a crime of mistaken inspiration

Jumped into without hesitation

Would not have caused complication

If he'd taken it with moderation

Did not take time for calculation

Just wanted to start the celebration

With good behavior there might be probation

For that crime of mistaken inspiration.

He was just a regular sort of Joe

Not good lookin with lots of dough

Didn't know how high he could go

All he wanted was to be her beau.

His ole heart never asked for much

Just one little special touch

To fulfil a dream of love and such

Not wanting to get into dutch.
