Giving : Relationship Poetry

written by Poet : Nobody-Special

Should you give your life

Or should you give your love

Can't separate them with a knife

They are like two turtle doves.

Oft times a selfish lover strives

For love that always makes demands

With sacrafice of love and life

Does it prove him to be a man.

Love should not leave you reeling

But should make you feel alive

Not leaving you void of feeling

And needing to cry to survive.

Don't take life with reservations

Remember good times and strive for joy

With some words of inspiration

From your caring clown and cowboy.

For your love will be your life

And your life will be your love

Contentment goes not with strife

Like a hand goes with a glove.

You long to be save and free

With a need always to belong

To the life that comes to thee

When love will sing your song. . . . .

                               Nobody Special
