As the scientist came to look at the object, he found something intruiging... something embedded into the outside of the rock. Although it looked solid, almost frozen, it crumbled apart once he'd touched it. "Petr... I don't know what to say. It looks like a piece of wood... It could just of crashed through a barn of something" Warily, Petr shook his head from side to side roughly. "I'm afraid not Sir. This looks ancient. The meteorite only crashed into Earth a few weeks ago." Hearing this, Bounine looked closely at the rock, holding it to the sky. "Hmm. Take it for inspection, Petr."
In Salban, news was heard that monsters were going to aim to destroy peace and harmony in their lands. Obviously, they weren't happy about this. "Elves." Spoke out King Mariit, ruler of Salban "You must gather all your archers and cavalry and protect the eastern gate"
"Forest Dwellers, protect the forests and northern gate with your lives."
"And my fellow Salbanese" He said loudly and with a hint of pride in his voice "You attempt to ambush them by the mountains"
The wisemen were still worried about this. They had been fortold that monsters were going to take over and so there was no way back "Your Highness, the attacks will be ineffective... i'm most distressed to report that we are doomed." The King was not happy on hearing this. "Be careful, mages and wisemen. You may be more well taught than me, but you haven't got my power. One more word, you shall be executed."
At home, Petr was relaxing with his girlfriend. They had recently moved in together in a small, but cosy house on the outskirts of Moscow. It was neat, unlike the office Petr worked in while experimenting.
They were watching their television, when something came up on the news. "Breaking News. Following the assassination of the Russian President, Aleksandr Makaricheva, we have officially declared war on the United States of America. President John Walker has refused to comment on the matter" Petrs face dropped. Not only were they at war, possibly nuclear, but they would have to drop the meteorite case to research weapons...
