Dulce Bellum Inexpertis I: Burning Star Of Belief : Sci-Fi

written by Poet : Laurelles

The war hath forget me not, my soul entangled in a stream of wires,

My body ressurected from my peace, my mind of this surely tires,

The mechanical soul placed in the form of a heart, is barely keeping me alive,

The nuclear bomb that destroyed our Earth, was made so I didn't survive,

So why is it I'm placed in this hell, millions of miles from my home?,

God only knows where he wants me to be, but I'm alive in the form of a clone,

But my memory they thought had gone, remains still witheld inside of my mind,

My soul may be gone, but my body's alive, so now my heart is all I've to find,

People may call it a scientific feat, but how did they think I would cope?,

The lab which made me the form of myself, has given me all but hope,

They'll send my body back into the war, without a care yet again,

But still I long to just be with myself, with the other millions of men,

Crede quod habes, et habes they say, but I don't have to believe,

I can't trust anymore, No more can I love, i'm hanging by the skin of my teeth,

For i am truly only a weapon of war, only created to destroy, not to be

My memory has returned to me now, and now I can truly see,

That i'm merely a copy, an blood thirsty imitation of myself,

They've no care for my feelings, barely care for my health,

Now I pick up my gun to prepare for the unwanted war,

How did we get here?, Was it by the word of the whore?
