Why Be Domesticated : Pet-Note

written by Writer : Emmy Nielsen

The answer to this question is obvious: Be domesticated or become prey to people who want to "bring order". To these people a cat or a dog without an owner is some sort of litter which should be removed. However, to the animal these people are some awful busy-bodies, cruel hunters, etc.. Out roaming the streets the animal/pet doesn't think about this natural animal way of living as a cat or dog as "out of order". On the contrary, this is total order and it's enjoying this kind of order which turns its abilities as a hunter on once again.
One of my aunts had a wonderful dog, very docile and friendly. That is, until it got loose and slipped away. She was able to hear its yappings from all the gardens it visited and when she had it traced down and caught she expected to find the nice and loving pet she had cared for in 9 years. Nope, the little cutie had turned from sofa cushion into a freedom-loving tiger and it bit her!
The thanks for the food, the love and care of nine years was a bite that went deep into her forearm. Yes, domestication is necessarry, but it's not enough to secure the love these animals ordinarily feel for us and we for them. That's something to be earned over and over again ...
