Ships : Personification Poetry

okay this is for you
right off the top of my head
but you have to excuse me
because i'm dealing witha limited sample
i ask too many questions
make you curl up like an armadillo
put up your fences and
build your walls
let me tell you darlin
trying to make sense of these feelings
abundant and ever-flowing
make them jive with my head
cause my heart gets ahead of me
and i have to pull in the reins
let the wagon catch up to my heart
i'm confused and i'm broken
give me time
to compose myself
if i could control time
baby i would
if it only gave me more time
to discover the vessel that is you
cause i've seen the ravens fly around you
the waves dance with your smile
so may i ask one more question
may i come aboard?
