history of domestic and abuse of a child

i head for work and
he starts the anger of naivity and hostlitity
you tell me
he doesn’t want you
he just wants command
he slaps and hopes you and
social services will understand
now i’m not much for ultimatiums
you can cut him loose
or you can bait him
i’m sailing away with tears fogging my eyes
can’t be a knight in the water rusting
i can try to help you
lend you a compassionate ear
but we have hourglass time
the beach is pulling away
