Blindness haunts her life, lines it with traps
groping her way in darkness wears her down
without wanting it she touches forbidden items
overturns what squirms and screams, bites even
sets the house on fire, or burns down the world
How could she see what's hidden to the blind?
Sacrificing the remnants of her eyes she sees
a blinded sight grows sharp when set free
suddenly what sees isn't her eyes, but her soul
it takes in everything there is
touching is no big issue for a soul
it grabs and holds, caresses and kisses
takes in what it sees and turns it into wisdom
