here and there
shattered all over the place
my brain in the dustbin
my heart running amock on a bookshelf
all my fingers patting the cat
yes, hands like cats
feet like dogs and to walk them
mine are busy playing footsy with that one, you know
the one with hips and shoulders
yeah, statuesque, you know already
when shattered like that I hoover
how else bring order?
Oops, fingers confused with dust
a worn and tired brain, once a friend, down it goes
bye-bye
down it goes, all of it
I eye the Hoover and it watches me
a predator finding new food
a poet confused with dust
suddenly down I go, soul and all
quite a journey, into the dump and back again
my vacuum cleaner knows more than me
it collects, it spits out, and it cleans what was shattered
