To my dismay the window opens inwards
yes, into my secret life, the one lived behind shutters
not outwards to dreams, plans and new horizons
maybe I should break down the wall
build a new window
one that hinges back and forth
yes, back and forth
from dream to reality and back again
one that keeps out what shall never be let in
as well as opens a gateway to the Universe for me
