In Denmark we fight a war this Christmas
amazingly enough the object of contention is Santa
having no say in the matter he has become a belonging
allegedly Greenland OWNS him, thus making him ours
his address is in Nuuk and now he is a Greenlandish Dane
The bad Finnish Santa-nappers contend this ownership
not Greenland, but Finland owns the chubby merrimaker
they have the reindeer, the snow, the mystery for him
nothing can make us give up this highly beloved character
as a slave for our infatuation with him it stays Nuuk with us
no Fins will lure him away from ice and seals in Greenland
