Did you know the secret of verisimilitude?
Well, neither did I and now it's my nightmare
it seems that the truth has a truth that is true
that is, it may be deemed true if it seems true
but what if it isn't although it seems to be?
what if we are like Dreyfus in court
lies, lies, lies - all ending in jail?
Better watch up for that verisimilitude
a dagger in the back even of truth itself
found in old myths and rumours
forming new patterns almost all by itself
