No, this wasn't my plan
to walk a dark and unfamiliar path
a path either widens into more
or shrinks into less
sometimes it disappears into nothing
Quite bewildered one ends up in a scrub
no path, only stones and entangled weeds
to trace the same way back may be difficult
the path one walked has disappeared
there one is, captured in weeds and scrubs
What a relief to refind that path
to recognize it and to see what it is
the heart tells one that this is salvation
the one and only, for this is the path
the one safe way home
