To whom it may concern: This year is dying
the funeral will be in colors
in lights, in love excesses
in too much drinking
remember: some may not survive this revelry
Besides: Most of the pallbearers forget to mourn
they even turn their back on the dead year
catering to the newborn all of them dream of a life revived
a life of dreams come true
the newborn mirrors their prayers in a toothless chuckle
