A knock on the door
mailmen do that
the mail was heavy
I sat down browsing it
letters of sorrows, letters of happiness
someone had died, others were born
all of it not out of the ordinary
except for that one letter without a sender
when I read the letter I wondered at it
this letter was not for me, but the envelope was
my name, my address, but not my letter
this letter was for a Rosa whom I don't know
she must be wonderful, an angel of love
and still, she had let down the sender
this raving madman out to kill
I looked at the envelope with my name
I read the letter to Rosa one more time
and I was caught in the situation
someone X wanted me dead - nah, Rosa
X wanted me to know of his plans for me
nah, for Rosa, poor thing
I chilled for her, I chilled for myself
but couldn't do anything
except stare at the envelope
