Suspended in mid-air I simply freaked out
couldn't help it, but had to laugh
giggling I was lowered unto the floor
stern faces all around, very disapproving
Don't you understand the tall one said
you are in His presence, a great honor
not everybody is allowed to see Him
I didn't ask for this honor, I'm fed up
with His whims, I said, stop this nonsense
Nonsense?!!!!!We beg Him to see us
we yearn to be held in His arms, but no,
and you -
- yeah, and I get invited, over and over
but you are the one who deserve to go,
so why me, I never asked for this "honor"?
Deep down in his eyes I saw raw envy,
but why reproach him? You will go some day,
I said to console him and at that
very moment I felt the pull once more,
this time like fire claws up my spine
