Dead people, not doing much, but partying
here we are, admiring their lighted homes
hoping not to see our host or hostess though
except for that special loved
the one who still lives in our hearts
even today this loved one visits our dreams
Flowers and candles everywhere
not really part of their lives above the ground
these few days everybody pamper them
in reality, this is the livings' attempt to apeace them
to make them content at living underground
the message is: "You're dead, I'm alive. Stay put."
Why would they when this world is theirs too?
As shadows in our arms they forget the grave
crying or laughing they knock on our doors
