The FleaVoice : Life

written by Poet : EC

In the flea market you find treasures
something glittering
sometimes that's gold, worth a fortune
however, most often it's only brass
this time I had me a ghost
it lives in a cell phone, bought for pennies
when I open it there is a note for the day
today it says "Mum dead 2006"
strange notes of birthdays and meetings
yesterday it was "Alice in the mall"
the day before it rang to remind me to wake up
that's nice, otherwise I might have forgotten it

Someone died, yet, this someone lives on in the phone
codes of a life trail my days with incomprehensible notes
a calendar, full of messages, bear witness
this ghost was a soul in a body that met, called, lived
