Pretence is like a slippery step of a staircase
makes you think twice as you tumble down
even when you're caught up in the web of deceit
No one is safe on this first step called "I'm-always-a-lady"
very, very slippery indeed, not safe at all
unsafe like the next one for "nothing-of-that-concerns-me"
like an icy street, the bane of many healthy limbs
This special staircase is built to pull down
pretence and lies, falseness, fake friendliness
all very slippery ingredienses on a staircase
use them and they may send you tumbling down
