Mauve or pink colours drape the world in lies
it turns my stomach with disgust
I didn't seek beauty, but truth, so give it me
let blackness tell its tale of cruelty, blood and death
the colour of wars without end, no escape into white
(only seen in postcards, by the way, and always untrue
snow in pictures garnish sugary-lies with even more lies)
What can be said about this blackened world?
one thing and one only: Either we overtake its colouring
or it will overtake us, blackening our souls from within
