So this is the famed box of fun
I ordered it, expecting to find it full of items
instead it came here empty except for sounds
I turned it upside down, but empty it was
the sounds were buzzings, birds' song, rain drops
and much more like babies laughing, whales singing
but still, no items, nothing to put up on shelves
no items for exhibiting or bragging about
I nearly tore it apart looking for SOMETHING SUBSTANTIAL
On finding nothing I phoned the company and a voice said:
"Don't you like the sounds, don't they give you fun?"
I put down the receiver, looking at the box of fun
actually, it was long since such fun in my world
I couldn't help smiling as I opened it once more
the sound of happy babies and puppies came floating
nothing more fun than that
