The light turned darkness within and without
it shot an arrow deep into the hearts of children
so very painful to the true believer in demons
the abyss awaits the one who sees it
at night the little ones scream in terror
grown-ups forgot the trolls of their childhood
annoyed they refuse to remove these elusive enemies
even watched by demons under the beds of their kids
they deny their very existence
- the abyss smiles a toothy smile ...
