I used to delve into the shadows
they fitted me like a tailored coat
neither too small, nor too big
however, shadow upon shadow piles up
the heap becomes a hill
the hill grows into a mountain
suddenly the shadows add up to darkness
big, untamed and powerful darkness
this is when I turn away, trying to escape
at that point darkness has become sticky
it sticks to me like glue, doesn't let go
And what is to be learnt from that?
That's easy:
To visit shadows may bring darkness
darkness is plaque on the soul
