then even smaller
make it shrink
let it be known as the smallest of the small
nothing to fear as it's so small
then call it "my life"
or "your life"
"his or her life"
all of it very small and insignificant
perhaps even invisible
that would be something in almost-nothingness
then know in your heart that shrinking is for living
you shrank to survive, blotting yourself out in the process
call that being over-cautious
