We don't find a truthful colouring of time
or so they say, all those sages
entire life times come down colourless
blank on blank, that's the given to many souls
all set out to stun, dressed like the rainbow
still, comes down drab and colourless
to mark my space in time I too bought paint
all in vain as none had the colour of my soul
red was too pushy, blue too modest
green might have done, but no, not really
no colour can catch anything forever
only words, music, art and love mark time
