however, she does, all the time
turns into a magnet, a strong one
leasing her soul to the god of glances
there she is, embedded in attention
spotlights highlight her charms
she bends, she bows to the applaus
And then she kills off the spotlights
now there she is, little Miss Cinderella
sweet as sweet can be, a cute one
no spotlights, no attention, almost a shadow
within glows a muted spotlight
a slim flame of light flickering
"that's my costume," she says
"this is me, resting, planning
all alive as nothing but me"
