The urge to dive into danger-alerted areas
yes, even challenge Fate itself
all that sent you on a detour for life
made me wonder at the wish to lose everything
of being the target of one's own hatred
all you gained was the loss of yourself, body and soul
found in the gutter, cut open and laid bare
like a sacrifical animal presented to ancient gods
reeking of blood you couldn't really afford to lose

	Perplexed After reading this poem I read it once again as I need a visual to go with it, thats the kind of reader I am. My visual came up far from the maening of your poem as I pictured my own son as he pushes the limit when he skateboards jumping off 10 foot walls. I often wondered if he does it out of anger, or out of excitement as he risks his own health and well being. My worries is he will one day kiss the pavement. 	Hi Unfortunately young people think they can do it all without any dangers to their life or health. Some go far too far - like the one in my poem - but your son seems to be an adventurous boy, not downright beyond advice as the other one who ended up dead.	2009-12-12 01:00:00 Poet EC
