Why rave against darkness and lost fights?
What's lost is lost, ny crying brings it back
However, what's the gain of fighting losing fights?
To end up all bruised and subdued
no victory in bruises, count them and cry
to be subdued is being erased out of combat
you lost, and someone else won
one asks oneself is it better to lose after fighting?
Maybe stepping down without any fight is best
when all you gain are these bruises
It's not quite like that when you engage in a fight
wit against wit, hand against hand, knife against knife
the pounding heart tells of necessities
it knows a higher law, inherited from Nature
eat or be eaten it says
